Business of the teeth or its aesthetics
Well perhaps it can't be avoided. I have to get on with my new dentures. After 56 years of enjoying denture-less life, now this. I am still adjusting to it and really campaigning to my students, but starting with my family, that our teeth should be a health priority. Without my teeth aesthetic could be missing in my life.
At Araneta Center
Deciding to go to Araneta Center yesterday was a good decision. We were able to watch the fireworks performance around 7:00 pm. We decided not to have dinner at Araneta instead we had it at home. Thess, Katt, Phoebe and Bang was the group. We were able to have the event recorded via our digicamera.
Electric Fan, Water heater, Lamp
Monday, no class today. I brought the above items to my friendly appliance repairman. It is near Project 4 public market. Around 300 meters walk from my place. He told me that I can pick up the items this afternoon. I think I have more items to be repaired like the water heater.

I did a magic show for our Torres clan reunion last 30 October 2011 at Calauag, Quezon, town hall plaza.

Today and for the days to come we remember our loved ones who went ahead of us to a place we can imagine.
The emperor's and pharaoh's have did it, as much as modern humans.
As to my so called death will, I wish to be cremated, placed in an urn and bring me back to my own home.

Gaddafi death: The bloody birth of a new Libya

The death of Muammar Gaddafi has removed a big problem for this country's transition rulers. It has also imbued the new Libya with original sin it may regret.
The leaders of the National Transitional Council (NTC) during the months of the fight against the colonel often spoke about building a country based on rights, not revenge.
The NTC will be perpetually placed on a dilemma on how they dealt with Gaddafi. They can't bring back Gaddafi. He is dead. He is buried in a dessert when it will be kept secret. This is the fruit of a revolution, bewildering moment.
It is a situation that one will find perplexing.

The Cutters
Finally, my friends from the Parks and Wildlife came to my house regarding my request to trim the Mango tree leaning to my wall. The tree is my neighbor's. But it was last 02 October that private cutters came to trim (and as I was informed today, the tree was given a death sentence because a certain portion of the tree's bark was skimmed out. I still wonder how will it die, I am skeptical.)
But that story is not yet finished because have not talked to my neighbor about the operation.
The tree cutters, better trimmers came in real equipped. I thank the Department of Public Safety and Mr. Romy Mariano.

I love Governor Vi. She is a sweetheart to work with. Punctual, polite and genuine. But those years appearing in countless commercials may have influenced her to think the advertising way: “lagyan natin ng supers at lakihan natin ng husto”. Maybe she thinks not enough tourists know that Taal volcano is really part of Batangas and not Tagaytay, a city in the province of Cavite. Well, that is a bummer for the citizens of Batangas. Tagaytay was just gifted by God to have the more spectacular view of the spectacular B-A-T-A-N-G-A-S landmark. Ahhh...kaya lagyan natin ng supers para malinaw. Hey, if constructed, that potentially could be the largest billboard/signage in the world, ever! Something to be proud of (aside from the Philippines being the 5th largest Facebook user in the world)! We are, after all, the most billboard crazy nation in the region. The Guadalupe bridge area in Makati must have the most spectacular display of billboards that will put all first world nations to shame. These billboards have made Bruno Mars, the Philippine Volcanoes, Angelica Panganiban, Dingdong Dantes, Georgina Wilson, Borgy Manotoc, et al, household names; literally larger than life icons for their stunning achievements and contributions to Philippine society. I wonder why the world does not take the cue from us? We exalt ordinary but beautiful people and make money at the same time!? Genius! How amusing of the Americans to create a 30ft sculpture of Martin Luther King, carved from 159 pieces of granite and made to appear as if he were coming out of a mountain; an inspiration from Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech; the imposing figure gazing into the horizon and concentrating on the future and hope for humanity. Sheesh! What a piece of schmaltz! What a waste of taxpayer’s money! Boobs and botox are more important, people! That’s how you gain immortality! Not some silly monument, for people not known for their looks but...gah...their ideas! And they’re dead for crying out loud! Murdered even! How inconsiderate to remind people of the traumatic past! We live for the now, right? Hey, that’s from the hip wisdom of Eckhart Tolle. Gee, he’s Oprah-approved, in case you didn’t know. Be relevant people!

Today's charity magic show was held at Loyola heights barangay covered court. There were around 700 kids into this event.

Party tonight,Magic
It's been raining for the past few days and I will have a party tonight in the open. I have to buy a tarpaulin sheet so that I can cover the whole view of the heaven tonight.
I will update you as to what happened in this party.
Post party: Friends in the Philippine magic community came, Nap "Cut-and-Restored-newspaper", Roni "Cardician" Mariano, Ferdie "Scuba Dive" Pera and Atty. Ed "card-production came" for this small party. We finished around 2:30 am. There was a structure on the said gathering. I wrote around 17 questions that each one will answer.
The result is amazing as stories upon and stories pile upon each other.
Sample, "What memorable mistake that you were doing upon presenting your routine?"
We had Pale Pilsen and Emperador. Many left over for the next party.

I was interviewed by ABS CBN staff for the Ted Failon segment. The topic is about "Riding-in-tandem".
The term was used and is being used by the media and the police to describe criminals who use a motorcycle (but they can also use a car and "riding in tandem"). The first set can use it to snatch somebody elses bag. The second is to hunt for their targets, these are the assasins or known in the parlance, "cleaners".
We have to be cleared that riding-in-tandem is a methodology to pursue an criminal intention.
In prosaic description two person in same or difference sex riding on their motorcycle. This is riding-in-tandem.
The interviewer asked me if there will be an increase of this riding in tandem, what could this indicate and its implication? It they increase, perhaps the methodology is good in their business transaction. Second, it can be an ammunition for the opposition groups against the incumbent.

Today, 18 October 2011, hit my facebook contacts to 3000. What am I going to with it? I do not know.

Finally...what a word to start with. Yes, finally I decided to create my blogspot on reflection of life and living in this planet. A planet that has a yesterday, a present and an imagined future. We all live in it.
What do I expect out of this blogspot? At this time not much. Or a thought that trembles. Faltering at its best. Foolish at it's best.
At this time I have to discipline myself to be writing stuffs about what I have experienced.
As I type this I am chatting with somebody who has lost her job. I was asking her about her plans. I was in the mode of probing, getting to know her field. I am Trying to know her support systems, her status in life. I need to ask questions so that I give the right ideas and how she can come out with her situation.
What do I expect out of this blogspot? At this time not much. Or a thought that trembles. Faltering at its best. Foolish at it's best.
